The Bigo Live rank system 2026 for hosts is a 16-step ladder from N1 (20 hours, 10,000 Beans, $100 tier salary) to S11 (50 hours, 3,000,000 Beans, $24,000). Rank is set by monthly billable hours and a monthly Bean goal. Miss either by any amount and the salary for that month is zero. Host rank is not the user level badge next to a viewer's name. That badge tracks spending and activity and pays nothing.

## How the Bigo Live rank system works

Bigo Live, launched in March 2016 by BIGO Technology in Singapore, pays official hosts two ways. Bean cash-out on gifts, and a monthly tier salary that depends on the rank hit that month. Rank is recalculated every month from billable hours and Beans. It resets; last month's S3 does not carry over. ## The 4 things that set a host's rank in the Bigo Live rank system 2026

1. Monthly Bean goal. Gifts received in the calendar month, from 10,000 Beans at N1 to 3,000,000 at S11.
2. Billable hours. Floor 0.5 per day, cap 2 per day, so 40 hours means at least 20 valid days.
3. Valid days. A day counts only if you stream at least the floor. Ten 4-hour nights are 20 billable hours, not 40.
4. Region of the gifts. Diamonds bought outside your region are revalued after month close and can pull you below a line you already crossed.

## N1 to A: the entry ranks

- N1 is 20 hours and 10,000 Beans for $100. At the 2-hour cap that is 10 valid days minimum.

- N1 to N2 doubles the Bean goal (10,000 to 20,000) for another $100, the strongest self-gift pull on the chart.

- C, B, and A all sit at 30 hours; only the Bean goal moves (30,000, 60,000, 90,000).

- Tier salary at these ranks is larger than the cash-out value of the Beans themselves.

- The hours here match S1. The pay does not.

## S1 to S6: the middle ranks

- Hours creep from 32 to 35 while Bean goals climb from 130,000 to 600,000.

- S1 ($1,120) to S6 ($5,200) is where the salary starts to outrun a day job.

- Each step up is 40,000 to 200,000 more Beans for $320 to $1,700 more salary.

- PK is the usual engine here; regulars alone rarely carry a room from S2 to S4.

- Out-of-region Diamonds start to matter. One overseas whale can be revalued to near zero after month close.

## S7 to S11: the top ranks

- S7 is 40 hours and 800,000 Beans for $6,700. With cash-out the host keeps about $10,300.

- Viewers paid about $14,500 (reseller Diamonds) or $19,100 (in-app) for that 800,000 Bean month.

- Bigo keeps about 29% to 46% on a tier-hit month at S7, and about 81% if the tier is missed.

- S8 to S11 need 42 to 50 hours, which means 21 to 25 valid days at the 2-hour cap.

- S11 pays $24,000 on 3,000,000 Beans. Cash-out on those Beans is about $13,500.

## Host rank versus user level badges

- Host rank (this chart) is the monthly pay grade for official hosts, and it resets every month.

- The user level badge next to a name is a different system. It tracks account activity and spending and pays nothing.

- A viewer can hold a high user level and never stream; a host can be S5 with a modest user level.

- Third-party sites publish popularity rankings of Bigo streamers. Those are neither host rank nor user level.

- When someone says "level up on Bigo," ask which of the three they mean.

## The rule nobody mentions: the out-of-region deduction lands after the month closes

Diamonds are priced by region, and the United States is the most expensive. After the month closes, Bigo revalues Diamonds bought in cheaper regions. For a US host that is roughly 1/100th of face value. The revaluation is applied after the tier is counted. A host who finished at 805,000 Beans can be knocked under 800,000 and settled as S6 instead of S7, a $1,500 difference on the salary line alone. Hosts have objected publicly since August 2021, when a change.org petition titled "Bigo we want equality fairness" said out-of-region gifts were not being "fully compensated." 1. Counting stream hours instead of billable hours. Ten 4-hour nights are 20 billable hours, not 40.
2. Self-gifting across a cliff that does not pay. Some hosts spend $2,000 to unlock $1,200.
3. Treating rank as permanent. It resets on the 1st.
4. Ignoring where Diamonds were bought. The deduction lands after the tier is counted.
5. Confusing user level with host rank. Only one of them pays.

The platform's share then rises to about **81%**.

### Should I self-gift to reach the next Bigo rank?

Usually no. The math works only at a few lines. The S6 to S7 line pays **$1,500** more salary for **5,000 Beans**, which cost about **$120** in-app. But A to S1 pays **$320** more for **40,000 Beans**, about **$960** in-app. N1 to N2 pays **$100** for **10,000 Beans**, about **$240**.
